The Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting applications for 2500+ Group X and Y posts for Airmen. This is an excellent opportunity for 12th pass candidates interested in working with one of the most respected defense forces in the world. The positions are available in both technical (Group X) and non-technical (Group Y) roles.

Vacancy Details:

  • Total Vacancies: 2500+ posts
  • Positions:
    • Group X (Technical): Airmen in technical roles (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Systems).
    • Group Y (Non-Technical): Airmen in Administrative, General Duty, and Ground Training Instructor roles.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Group X: 12th-grade pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects or Diploma in Engineering.
    • Group Y: 12th-grade pass with English as a subject or 2-year vocational course.
  • Age Limit: 17 – 21 years (age relaxation applicable as per government norms).

Selection Process:

  1. Written Examination:
    • Group X: Focus on Mathematics, Physics, and English.
    • Group Y: Focus on English, Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Knowledge.
  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates will undergo a physical fitness test which includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats to test physical endurance.
  3. Medical Examination: Only candidates who clear the written and physical tests will undergo a medical examination to check physical fitness and overall health.

Salary:

  • The selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹33,100 – ₹1,04,000 per month (depending on the post and experience). Additional allowances like HRA, Medical Allowance, and Transport Allowance are also provided.
